In today’s world of loud celebrations, viral moments, and flashy social media clips, it’s easy to overlook players who don’t chase the spotlight. But every successful team has that one quiet warrior, the one who lets his game speak louder than any celebration ever could. For NL Tigers, that player is Borshojoyti Binit.
He’s not the one pumping his fists after every wicket or making noise off the field. Instead, he’s focused, composed, and consistent, the kind of player every captain dreams of. And while others may chase individual glory, Binit is laser-focused on one thing only — the team’s success.
“Honestly, I just focus on my role and what the team needs from me,” he says. “Whether it’s taking wickets or building pressure, I try my best to contribute to the team’s success. I know my role in this team, and I don’t need the spotlight to feel valued. My captain and teammates are always there to cheer me on, ball after ball, and that’s all that matters to me. The goal is to win together.”
That team-first mindset has translated into results. In a recent clash against a strong Wolves lineup, with only 130 runs to defend, Binit produced one of the most clutch spells of the season, grabbing 4 crucial wickets and turning the match on its head.
“The 4-wicket haul against Wolves is undoubtedly my best spell,” Binit reflects. “They had a deep batting lineup, and we didn’t have a big score to defend. But I stayed calm and stuck to the basics. There are a couple of matches in the past where I bowled well, but this one stands out the most.”
Even though he’s widely regarded for his bowling, Binit has quietly chipped in with the bat too. Whether it’s stabilizing an innings or adding some quick runs down the order, he’s always ready when the team calls on him.
“I see myself as a bowler first. That’s where I can contribute the most,” he says. “But I can add some runs when needed. I had a couple of decent innings with the bat last season and if the team needs it, I’ll try my best to contribute again this year.”
“It’s all about the hunger to win,” he says. “We didn’t have a great season last year, but this year, the entire team is fired up. Everyone is giving their best on and off the field. My captain, Fahad bhai, helped me work on my fitness in the off-season, and that’s made a big difference in my performance. I trust his guidance completely, especially when I’m bowling. That trust and clarity is getting results, not just for me but for the entire team.”
Binit also credits the positive team environment for his motivation. “The energy that my team creates — both on the field and in the dugout — pushes me harder. That kind of atmosphere is everything. It keeps you going, especially during tight matches.”
He may not be chasing headlines or personal milestones, but Borshojoyti is quietly building a reputation as one of the most dependable performers in the league. And as NL Tigers continue their campaign, it’s players like him — consistent, humble, and fiercely committed — who become the backbone of championship runs.
He doesn’t need the spotlight. Because when the game is on the line, Binit delivers.
