Scarborough, June 7, 2025 — Muhammad Rizwan Khalid produced a match-winning spell of fast bowling as Toronto Rhinos (Elite) defeated United Titans (Elite) by 90 runs in the Scarborough Cricket Association Elite Division 50-over league fixture at Ellesmere Reservoir Park North.

Batting first after winning the toss, the Rhinos posted a modest total of 207 all out in 45.5 overs. The innings was built around solid contributions from wicketkeeper Dhawal Morjaria (74), Prakash Devanunni (42), and Abdullah Hammad (43), but a middle-order collapse stalled their momentum. Waseem Sajjad was the pick of the bowlers for Titans, claiming 4 for 55 in his 10 overs.

In response, United Titans never found their footing. Rizwan Khalid ran through their batting order with a devastating spell, finishing with 5 wickets for 31 runs in 8 overs. He was well supported by Riyad bin Reza, Sajan Sisodiya, and Ninad Vaingankar, as the Titans were dismissed for just 117 in 25 overs.

This performance comes on the back of another impressive outing by Rizwan Khalid earlier in the season, where he took 3 for 27 in 9 overs against Toronto Invaders A on May 11 — a match the Rhinos eventually lost.

With this result, Toronto Rhinos continue to stay competitive in the Elite Division, with Rizwan Khalid emerging as a key weapon with the ball.
