Chelsea moved into the UEFA Conference League semi-finals, even though they lost 2-1 at home to Legia Warsaw. The London side did just enough over two legs to go through to the next round.
Legia surprised Chelsea with a strong performance at Stamford Bridge. Despite the defeat, Chelsea’s earlier win in the first leg helped them advance on aggregate.
After the match, Chelsea captain Reece James didn’t hold back. He said the team didn’t play well and may have underestimated Legia Warsaw. “We didn’t show enough fight,” James said. “We thought it would be easier, but they gave us a tough game.”
Chelsea will now face Swedish club Djurgarden in the semi-finals. They will need to improve if they want to reach the final and win the competition.
