Cricket New Brunswick emerged victorious in the Confederation Cup 2025, hosted in a spirited contest against Cricket Prince Edward Island (PEI), winning both T20 encounters to lift the trophy in style. The two-match series showcased dominant performances from NB’s star players, with both games delivering exciting moments for fans.

Game 1 – NB Sets the Tone with 32-Run Win

The opening clash saw Cricket NB put on a solid batting performance, posting 165/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The standout innings came from Jerome C. Williams, who smashed a blistering 55 off just 26 balls, including 4 sixes and 6 boundaries, setting the tone for the series.

In reply, Cricket PEI struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and were bowled out for 133 in 18.2 overs. NB’s bowling attack was clinical, led by Amandeep Singh with 3 wickets, while the other Amandeep Singh, Tarun Patel, and Himalay Savaliya each claimed 2 wickets. Williams’ explosive knock earned him the Man of the Match award.

Result: Cricket NB won by 32 runs.


Game 2 – Nail-Biting Finish as NB Wins by 1 Wicket

If the first game was comfortable, the second was anything but, as Cricket PEI fought hard to stay alive in the series. Batting first, PEI managed 138 all out in 19.1 overs, with NB’s pace spearhead Amandeep Singh delivering a sensational spell of 4 overs, 18 runs, and 5 wickets, dismantling the opposition’s batting lineup.

In response, NB’s chase was a tense affair. Contributions came from across the batting order, with Danny Arumadura top-scoring with 36 runs. The match came down to the wire, with NB securing the win at 139/9 in 19.3 overs, claiming victory with just one wicket to spare.

Amandeep Singh’s match-winning bowling display earned him the Man of the Match honor for Game 2 and cemented his status as one of the tournament’s standout performers.
