Brampton cricket fans have a new contender in the upcoming BEDCL election on March 22. Jimmy Sharma, owner of Patiala Shahi, says he’s running for president to bring fresh energy and new ideas to the league.
His main focus mentioned on his manifesto available publicly on his Facebook account includes:
-Open and transparent league finances, with fair disciplinary processes
-Improved pitches, outfields, and better cricket facilities across the city
-Modern digital platforms and proper tracking of player performances
-Launching youth and women’s leagues while keeping recreational cricket accessible
-Bringing international and high-level cricket events to Brampton
Sharma says he wants to work closely with players, clubs, and fans to grow cricket in the city.He also emphasizes that his years of experience in cricket, combined with leadership skills and a collaborative approach, make him ready to guide BEDCL into its next chapter.
