Houston, TX – Lance Khan, a 21-year-old American-Pakistani baseball standout who recently overcame cancer and represented Pakistan internationally, tragically died in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Houston. The accident also seriously injured a close friend who is expected to recover .
Khan, originally from Brooklyn, made his mark in the sport early as a standout player with Lamar Little League before earning a spot on the University of St. Thomas (UST) baseball team. Known for his infectious personality and leadership, he became one of the highest-profile American-born athletes to play for the Pakistan national baseball program
