Romania completed an impressive T20I series victory against Bulgaria, winning the five match series 4-0 after one match ended without a result. The series featured aggressive batting, quick scoring rates, and consistent performances from the Romanian side.
Romania Dominate Across the Series
Romania started strongly in the opening match. They scored 164 before bowling Bulgaria out of the contest and secured a 31 run win. In the second game, Romania’s batting unit exploded with 191/3 in just 15 overs. Bulgaria fought back with 153/4, but Romania still cruised to a 38 run victory.
The third match produced one of the most unusual scorecards of the series. Romania posted a massive 198/3 in 17 overs before rain interrupted Bulgaria’s chase at 58/3 after five overs. Romania claimed victory by 17 runs through the DLS method. Cricket fans often joke that rain becomes the best all rounder in short format cricket, and this match did little to change that reputation.
Final Match Seals The Series
The fourth match ended with no result, but Romania returned in the fifth game to finish the series in style. They defended 154/9 successfully and restricted Bulgaria to 124/9, sealing another comfortable win.
Romania’s batting firepower and disciplined bowling made the difference throughout the series. Bulgaria showed moments of promise, especially with the bat in the shorter matches, but Romania maintained control in every completed game.
